Hurthle cell


Characterized as enlarged epithelial cells with abundant eosinophilic granular cytoplasm as a result of altered mitochondria. They generally stain pink and are prominently found in histological sections of thyroid glands affected with Hashimoto’s. (wikipedia.org)
