In this lecture, I cover the concept of Photosynthesis, the mechanism that plants use to produce energy and to make their food from the energy they obtain from the sun. It’s the process of converting LIGHT energy into CHEMICAL energy. ATP is produced in this process.

I also deal with a few people who have contributed a lot to what we now understand about the function of ATP and how energy is produced and stored in the body. Cells use this oxygen in order for metabolism to take place and without it, you would have no energy. When you eat, that food is broken down and the process of respiration allows for you to convert that food into an energy form that can be used by your body.
