Video: Nutrition and Energy Flow – Principles of Ecology (Part 1 and 2)

All organisms (living things) require energy in order to do ANYTHING. Where does all this energy come from? Well, go ahead and watch those videos and you will find out. In the lecture, I talk about the source of energy, producers vs. consumers, the different types of heterotrophs and a number of other details.

I end the section by talking about the cycles that exist in nature, using the water and nitrogen cycles as examples. This was section 2.2 in the book Biology: The Dynamics of Life.

  2. Hi Viraaj. Unfortunately, I don’t have them available for the ipod at the moment. It’s something I will be working on in the future. However, you should be able to watch the youtube videos on your ipod if you have wifi.
